Position Title: Fall Play - Director of Music
Location: Upper Darby High School
Status: $1,900.00
Work Period: 08/18/2026 to 10/25/2026
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
The Fall Production Director of Music will teach music parts and vocal stylings to the cast.
- Experience working with high school aged students in a theatrical setting
- Strong ability and willingness to teach and mentor high school aged students who are interested in theatrical production
- Experience with a variety of musical styles including classic/traditional musical theatre
- Strong skills in rhythm and musicality
- Knowledgeable in theatrical and music terminology and methodologies
- Strong experience with proper vocal technique and health
- Ability to run warmups
- Ability to work with the creative team to teach music and vocal styles that reflect the style and concept of the production
- Ability to run rehearsals and breakout rehearsals independently
- Must be able to play the piano
- Rehearsal Schedule to be discussed with Production Manager
- General rehearsal schedule is after school and in the evenings Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Saturday
rehearsals will be held.
- Must be available for designer run, technical rehearsals, and performances outside of rehearsal schedule

- Saturday, October 24th, Two Show Day
- Sunday, October 25th, Strike and Restore
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the position
- Including but not limited to moving rehearsal audio equipment
