Accountant II needed for our Business Office.

Available immediately, permanent full time position. 

Classification - Confidential Secretary  - salary based on experience.  

 

JOB SUMMARY: Maintain accurate financial records for Business Office including accounting
procedures, policies, and federal and state regulations as they apply to paying bills, budget entry and
monthly reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS: To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills, and/or ability necessary.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
  2. 3-5 Years related Finance/Accounting experience.
  3. Experience in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation required.
  4. Experience with financial software, E-Finance preferred, Excel spreadsheets and Word required
  5. Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
  6. Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
  7. Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994
  8. Submission of Federal Criminal History Record in accordance with Act 114 of 2006

F. Some/occasional local travel may be necessary: Must be able to provide own transportation to school related functions/meetings, community agencies and schools throughout our service area.
G. The employee is frequently required to interact in person and by phone or e-mail with the public, students, parents, staff, other administrators, board members, and community agencies.
