Spring Musical Projections Designer

 

Total Compensation: $2,000

 

Spring Musical Schedule: December 1, 2024- March 31, 2025

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

 

 The Spring Musical Projections Designer will work closely with the creative team to effectively execute projections that create the setting for the story to unfold alongside or in lieu of other scenic elements. Projections may include custom-created imagery, animations, utilizing designs provided by the scenic designer, and more. 

  • Former experience working with middle school to high school aged students in a theatrical setting
  • Strong ability and willingness to teach and mentor high school aged students who are interested in theatrical production
  • Strong knowledge of theatrical practices, principals, and terminology
  • Strong skills in Qlab software
  • Strong skills in Adobe software
  • Strong skills in video design and effects
  • Knowledgeable with Apple operating systems
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Ability to change direction to suit the needs of the production
  • Strong ability and willingness to collaborate with the creative team and other designers
  • Must have excellent perception of detail
  • Design schedule to be discussed with Production Manager
  • Strong understanding of Google drive, sheets, docs and other word processing applications
  • Must be able to meet the physical/sensory demands of the position
    • including but not limited to climbing ladders and stairs, and withstanding loud noises, sounds and strobing lights.
