English Language Development-After School Tutors
Description:

 

Length of Program: October 2024-May 2025

 

Up to 23 weeks –Up to three days a week

 

Locations:

In-person or virtual program (for schools with low enrollment) for identified Elementary English Learners 

Teachers will tutor small groups and will meet with students on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. 

 

Compensation: $50.00 per hour, not to exceed $3,450 total compensation 

Hours: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. 

Position Opening: Immediately 

Closing: November 12, 2024, or when positions are filled 

 

Number of Positions: Determined based on total number of students, with a target of groups no larger than 12 students 

 

Goals: To increase the English language proficiency of identified English learners, for students in grades K-5

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Mandatory commitment to teach all 23 weeks 

 

Maintain records of students enrolled and review data with Principal and EL Supervisor 

Appropriate PA Teaching Certificate I or II required 

Elementary teaching experience preferred

ESL Certificate Preferred 

Strong organizational skills required 

Must be able to meet the physical/sensory demands of the position
